Win the chance to race against the Red Bull Formula 1 Team
The two ScotKart tracks have been selected to host the West of Scotland qualifying rounds of the National Red Bull Kart Attack competition, offering you the chance to get close to the exciting world of Formula 1.

Simply attend a Practice or Race Meeting session during February and March at ScotKart - and if you set a fast lap time have it authorised and put your entry in the Red Bull entry box. The fastest six drivers from each track will then qualify for the quarter finals held in April.

The Grand Final will take place in May in a UK city on a specially created circuit. This unique day will recreate a Formula 1 Race Day with Pit Area, celebrities, Formula 1 Drivers and live entertainment, with thousands of spectators. Those drivers good enough will pit their skills against the F1 drivers to see who will be the ultimate winner of Red Bull Track Attack!

Good Luck!

Glasgow Business Awards 2005
We were delighted to be finalists in Glasgow's prestigious business awards.  Run in conjunction with Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, Scottish Enterprise and sponsored by The Royal Bank of Scotland, over 100 companies entered.  It was therefore a great achievement to be recognised as the runner up in the Best Performing Business category, due to our innovative training and investment in improving our business.

New Timing Software
To offer you more race information we have invested £20,000 in a state of the art timing system at both circuits. Instead of the old single screens we now provide you with a bank of 4 hi-definition screens, which allow you to follow the race clearly, and even includes photos of all competitors. Printouts for practice laps are also much improved.

Cash For Kids Grand Prix 2005

This years ScotKart Cash for Kids Grand Prix raised almost £18,000. 14 teams scorched the track in Scotkart's new fleet of high speed gas-powered karts with local team F Sport picking up the coveted trophy.

Teams raced against each other for two hours in a test of both skill and stamina to take the checkered flag. The Kitson’s Insulation team raised, the highest sponsorship for the night with over £3000.

Stewart Matthews, director of Scotkart, said:
“Our Cash for Kids Grand Prix’s are always fast, furious and fiercely competitive. The standard of driving was particularly high this year with the cream of Scottish pro-racing taking part. As a local company Scotkart is delighted to support such a good cause, we smashed last year’s total raised. Scotkart would like to thank all the teams that took part, £18,000 is outstanding.”

Anne Marie Hanson of Cash for Kids/ Radio Clyde, said:
“The Scotkart Cash for Kids Grand Prix is an adrenaline fuelled competition and an excellent way to show support. We are very grateful to Scotkart for continuing to support Cash for Kids and are hoping to exceed the £10,000 raised last year. Scotkart has been really supportive, organising the event and supplying the entire venue and facilities free of charge. This ensures every penny raised goes directly to Cash for Kids.”

Sir John Orr, Chairman Cash for Kids Trust, said:
“The aim of the Cash for Kids appeal is simply to ensure that families living in difficult circumstances can give their children a positive Christmas experience.”

Insurance surcharge
In line with many activity providers we have been hit with a four fold increase in our insurance premiums this year.
Despite having an excellent safety record, few companies would cover us this year. There is no way we can absorb this increase in our costs, and we are having to impose an insurance surcharge of £1 per visit for practice, and £2 for race meetings.

ScotKart Goes GREEN!

Scotkart environmentally friendly gas power engineOur apologies to all our petrol head customers, but our new fleet of racing karts at Cambuslang are powered by gas! Not only is this more environmentally friendly, but it means you can enjoy your karting in a cleaner, less polluted atmosphere. There is no loss of power, and they are quieter to run, which makes spectating more fun.
ScotKart leads the field, by again being the first track in Scotland to invest in new technology.
