| Win
the chance to race against the Red Bull Formula 1 Team
The two ScotKart tracks have
been selected to host the West of Scotland qualifying rounds
of the National Red Bull Kart Attack competition, offering
you the chance to get close to the exciting world of Formula
1.
Simply attend a Practice or Race Meeting session during February
and March at ScotKart - and if you set a fast lap time have
it authorised and put your entry in the Red Bull entry box.
The fastest six drivers from each track will then qualify
for the quarter finals held in April.
The Grand Final will take place in May in a UK city on a specially
created circuit. This unique day will recreate a Formula 1
Race Day with Pit Area, celebrities, Formula 1 Drivers and
live entertainment, with thousands of spectators. Those drivers
good enough will pit their skills against the F1 drivers to
see who will be the ultimate winner of Red Bull Track Attack!
Good Luck!

Premiership Competition
Rangers star Peter Lovenkrands brought the Premiership competition
to ScotKart in October when he raced against brothers Derek
Young and Darren Young from Dunfermline.

Peter picked up the Gold medal on the podium after a close
fought final.
Smart Cars have chosen Scotkart as a venue to launch the new
Smart roadster and coupe. You will notice their banners around
the track, stickers on the karts and badges on the suits.

Our open practice sessions at Clydebank on Sunday afternoon
and evenings are becoming very popular. To avoid the frustration
of having to wait at peak times we have introduced a booking
system from early January. Payment is required in advance,
and drivers will need to arrive 30 minutes prior to their
track time for suiting up and a safety briefing. Booking Hotline
is 0141 951 8900 (12 - 4pm, 7 days)

This years ScotKart Cash for Kids Grand Prix raised almost
£18,000. 14 teams scorched the track
in Scotkart's new fleet of high speed gas-powered karts with
local team F Sport picking up the coveted trophy.
Teams
raced against each other for two hours in a test of both skill
and stamina to take the checkered flag. The Kitson’s
Insulation team raised, the highest sponsorship for the night
with over £3000.
Stewart
Matthews, director of Scotkart, said:
“Our Cash for Kids Grand Prix’s are always fast,
furious and fiercely competitive. The standard of driving
was particularly high this year with the cream of Scottish
pro-racing taking part. As a local company Scotkart is delighted
to support such a good cause, we smashed last year’s
total raised. Scotkart would like to thank all the teams that
took part, £18,000 is outstanding.”

Anne
Marie Hanson of Cash for Kids/ Radio Clyde, said:
“The Scotkart Cash for Kids Grand Prix is an adrenaline
fuelled competition and an excellent way to show support.
We are very grateful to Scotkart for continuing to support
Cash for Kids and are hoping to exceed the £10,000 raised
last year. Scotkart has been really supportive, organising
the event and supplying the entire venue and facilities free
of charge. This ensures every penny raised goes directly to
Cash for Kids.”
Sir
John Orr, Chairman Cash for Kids Trust, said:
“The aim of the Cash for Kids appeal is simply to
ensure that families living in difficult circumstances can
give their children a positive Christmas experience.”

A
brand new fleet of BIZ
Why not try out our 'state-of-the-art' karts which are
proving very popular. After race testing several karts on
our track we chose BIZ because of their amazing handling,
light weight chassis, and racing pedigree. Compared with most
other corporate karts which are bought on the continent and
are very heavy and unreliable, they are real greyhounds, which
will put a great big smile on your face when you race them!
Dont delay, book your race meeting now to experience
the best karts on the best track in Scotland! (N.B. Only available
for race meetings)
In
response to popular demand we have introduced 3 new formats
for groups of 8+ drivers at Clydebank (Mon - Fri). Race fees
from only £33pp. Please see Special
Offer page for details.
Our
apologies to all our petrol head customers, but our new fleet
of racing karts at Cambuslang are powered by gas! Not only
is this more environmentally friendly, but it means you can
enjoy your karting in a cleaner, less polluted atmosphere.
There is no loss of power, and they are quieter to run, which
makes spectating more fun.
ScotKart leads the field, by again being the first track in
Scotland to invest in new technology.
