See how your friends personalities change when they pull on a race suit, climb into a race prepared kart, pump the accelerator and prepare to battle it out to the Chequered flag. Notice how competitive everyone becomes as the leaderboard changes after each race, and drivers weigh up each others strengths and weaknesses as the cut off for the final approaches!
Your all-inclusive ScotKart race experience can be booked by small groups and individuals on a 'Open' basis or larger groups can book an exclusive event. Both are run on the same basis and includes –
- Your choice of 2 testing 400metre indoor circuits at either Cambuslang or Clydebank, both complete with sweeping corners, hairpins and flat out straights.
- The latest 200cc race prepared karts all serviced daily for equal performance – so how well you do is down to pure driving skill.
- The hire of proper race suits, full face helmets, helmet liners and gloves.
- National Karting Association video safety briefing followed by Race Directors talk with hints and tips for a great nights racing.
- Observed practice laps to get used to the track and karts.
- Second Race Directors briefing with more helpful advice.
- Your choice of race format – individual heat racing (guaranteed heat races per driver with the top 8 point scorers going through to the final) or the Le-Mans style team challenge relay race where your group is divided into teams trying to complete the most laps in the time period.
- Race commentery by the Race Director
- Several mashals are track side to give out warning flags and help any drivers who have spun off – they are in radio contact with the Race Director.
- Latest computer timing system is linked to displays around the viewing areas, constantly updated with the race results, leaderboard and fastest times.
- Prize giving for the top 3 drivers or top 3 teams, with medals included, on the Victory podium.
- Photo of the winners.
- Vending machines are available for drinks and snacks, or good value buffets are available.

To book we require a £10pp non-refundable deposit, with the balance due two weeks prior to the event.
The following is a guide to different formats, we run regular Grand Prix and Team Challenge race meetings for individuals and smaller groups, please check availability for dates –
Midweek daytime racing for small groups of 8 – 12
For smaller groups who like a lot of track action we have introduced these new race formats featuring extra long races, which offer great value:
GP3 - £40pp - Qualifier, one long races and a extended Grand Final
GP4 - £45pp - Qualifier, 2 long races and a extended Grand Final
This format includes all equipment, instruction, grid starts for races, medal presentation for the winning 3 drivers.
All drivers will be on the track at once. Other groups may be using the track in the breaks between your races.
Grand Prix Heat racing for groups of 20 – 48, racing for individual glory!
The famous ScotKart Grand Prix rewards consistency as following the practice sessions each driver has to compete in 5 separate rounds of racing, collecting as many points as possible in each race (8 for a win, 6 for a second place etc). The top 8 drivers then compete in the Grand Final, looking for one of the 3 places on the winner’s podium at the Prize presentation.
Experience lasts aprox 2 hours for 20 drivers (6pm or 8pm starts), 3 hours for 30 drivers (7pm start), or 3.5 hours for 40+ drivers (6.30pm start). Daytime also available.

Le-mans Team Challenge for groups of 20 – 80, racing for your teams glory!
The Le-Mans is a relay type race where your group is divided into teams, each with its race prepared kart. Following the practice/qualifier session your team starts a 60/90/120 minute race (depending on numbers), with the winning teams completing the most laps in the time period. The Le-Mans demands good  communication skills and strategy from the teams, and offers a lot of karting for each driver, plus the chance for drivers of mixed abilities to enjoy the event more.
Experience lasts 2 to 4 hours:
20 drivers (10 teams of 2), 10 min qualifier,
60 min race. 2 Hour event, 6 or 8pm start.
30 drivers (10 teams of 3), 15 min qualifier,
90 min race. 3 Hour event, 7pm start
40 drivers (10 teams of 4), 20 min qualifier,
120 min race, 4 Hour event, 6.30pm start

NEW Ironman Race for Serious Kart Racers
Scotkart are pleased to welcome back, due to demand, the return of the Ironman race. Weekdays only for true petrol heads, we run this for groups of 8-14 drivers. Included is all race gear, or bring your own if it meets regulation standard. One kart per driver, a practice/qualifier followed by a 30 minute non stop race, most amount of laps wins on the day with the podium finish and medal presentation for the winner/most knackered.
