All first time karters at Scotkart must attend an introductory course or Birthday Party so we know they will have a safe and enjoyable exprience on the track.
Following the class they can book Family Practice sessions or join the Cadet Club.
Introduction to Karting Class (Ages 8-11) £20pp
We use 120cc Honda powered short wheel base karts, fully automatic, with adjustable pedals, and full wrap around bumpers for safety.
The Cadets session teaches the basics of kart control, the racing line, and marshalling in a safe and fun environment:
Following the video safety briefing all the drivers are kitted out with race suits, helmets and gloves.
The Instructor then briefs them on the kart controls and track layout, before a first 7 minute drive behind a marshal to learn the racing line, braking points and kart control.
Each driver then recieves an additional 14 minutes on track. Usually split into two 7 minute sessions on track (sessions may be coupled to provide longer racing sessions) where lap times are provided after every heat.
Cadet Club (Ages 8 -11) £20pp
Perfect your new karting skills with other kids the same age range at our weekly meetings.
Running Times
Cambuslang run Cadets on a Saturday morning with:
Non-License (first timers) running at 9:30am to 11am,
then the License holders (experienced) running at 10:30am to 12pm.
Clydebank run Cadets on a Sunday morning with:
Non-License (first timers) running at 9:30am to 11am,
then the License holders (experienced) running at 10:30am to 12pm.
